HOST A SCREENING
Virtual or In-Person
Thank you for your interest in hosting a screening
As a host, you have the power to bring BirthRight to your community and introduce this story to new eyes. Your role is essential! Without hosts stepping up across the country, these screenings couldn’t happen. By leading your local event, you help spark conversation, awareness, and connection around the film’s message.
VENUE FOR IN-PERSON EVENTS
As the event host, you’ll be responsible for securing a suitable venue for the screening. Ideal locations may include independent theaters, churches, community centers, ballrooms, or any indoor space that meets the following requirements:
-
Adequate restroom facilities
-
Ability to achieve full darkness (all windows must be fully covered)
-
A projector, screen, and reliable audio system
-
Comfortable seating to support a 2-hour film screening followed by a 30-minute Q&A
A Public Exhibition License is required for all screenings. This license, along with the venue rental, can typically be covered through ticket sales—so selecting a space with rental costs aligned to your projected attendance is essential.
The venue should comfortably accommodate at least 100 guests to ensure an engaging and successful event.
HOSTED VIRTUAL WATCH PARTIES
Hosting a Virtual Watch Party involves purchasing a Public Exhibition License and scheduling an online screening. The virtual platform includes a built-in live chat feature, allowing all viewers to participate and share their thoughts in real time.
You may sell tickets to help offset the cost of the license. Ticket proceeds are shared between the Host, the Film, and the distribution company providing the virtual streaming link.
TICKETS
You will be responsible for driving attendees to the BirthRight website to purchase tickets for your hosted screening. While the film team will handle any ticket-related issues—such as refunds, exchanges, or technical difficulties—you will serve as the primary contact for RSVPs if you organize or hold any extended gatherings before or after the screening, such as lunches, dinners, or coffee meetups.
On the day of the screening, you will also be responsible for scanning tickets. Each ticket will include a scannable QR code, either on a printed ticket or displayed on the attendee’s mobile device.
MARKETING
As a host, you’ll play a key role in rallying your community, patriot groups, and local representatives around the upcoming screening. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead any additional marketing efforts you feel are needed to bring people to the event.
BirthRight will provide an initial digital post/image for social media, customized for your location and ready to share, along with any other marketing items needed such as the trailer, testimonials, movie poster, radio spots, etc. If you choose to create extra marketing materials—such as printed flyers, posters, or custom designs—you would be responsible for any associated costs, including design, printing, and distribution.
Your efforts make the journey of BirthRight possible. Every screening you host allows the film to reach new audiences and create meaningful impact. Step into this role, rally your community, and be the reason this story is seen, discussed, and shared far and wide.
