Locations, Locations, Locations

Well, I'm stuck! It's quite common to get stuck when you have a multitude of places to cover and just a wee small window to capture a few select places. So I'd like to look to you (our audience, our donors, our fellow brothers and sisters) and get your feedback. Most know that one of our featured patriot in the film, Bobby Lawrence, is a passionate speaker and can just about come up with something inspirational no matter where you place him. But that's just it...there are soooo many places to place him for this film.

I and the production team first looked at placing Bobby's feet on the soil of Gettysburg National Cemetery, which we all know is an iconic and very special place and it's nearby to where we will be in June. Then, we realized there are some pretty special places 2 hours drive from Gettysburg that we should consider. How about Independence Hall and actually placing Bobby in the room where our forefather's signed that very special parchment, known as The Declaration Of Independence and then years later the United States Constitution? Well, if this wasn't tempting enough, lo and behold there is also Valley Forge where General George Washington, dismounted his horse and fell to his knees in prayer (or so the famous painting known as, "The Prayer at Valley Forge", depicts). Valley Forge is packed with special sites such as Muhlenberg’s Brigade, the National Memorial Arch, Artillery Park and the Washington Memorial Chapel. For those who may not know, Valley Forge was the winter encampment the Continental Army would stay in during the Revolutionary War and as Bobby has told the story in his 'walk with me' segment, I can literally see that story come to life in this valley. So do you see our delima? In order to respect our budget, we only have one day to capture this and so all three places are not attainable. So let us know which location you like to see in the film, Gettysburg Cemetery OR Liberty Hall and Valley Forge? I'm leaning towards the Hall and Valley since so much of this film covers our early beginnings as a nation, but still would love your input! By the way, did I mention we were going to DC? Arlington Cemetery is one of those stops, so if this cemetery does not make it in, there will be another one so keep your prayers up and fingers crossed that we obtain the filming permit.

I suggest going to the Faith Monument in Plymouth Mass as it represents original vows from pilgrims...so many of us don't even know about this monument! See Kirk Cameron's documentary for the story and detailed explanation of statue!

Liberty Hall & Valley Forge because they represent the battle our amazing founding fathers fought with the pen and on their knees.
